Red wine stains should be treated with particular caution. Never use colored serviettes for dabbing (do not wipe!), these will stain and make the stain worse. Do not use any chemical products as stain removers that you do not know how effective they are. Don't use heat , heat seals the color into the fibers even more.
Instead, use glass cleaner, for example, which succeeds in removing red wine stains from almost all materials (including carpet).
- Spray the stubborn stain with glass cleaner.
- Let the agent act for about 20 minutes.
- Blot the stain with a kitchen towel or a clear, white, or very light-colored cotton cloth to remove the stain.
- Then put the garment in the washing machine as usual.
