Under no circumstances does the silk tie belong in a washing machine or dryer! Keep the following points in mind when cleaning your silk tie:
- Dampen a neutral cotton cloth with a little white spirit and dab the stain on your tie. Don't rub! Repeat the process if necessary, then let the tie dry thoroughly.
If the stain is still visible, you can carefully wash the tie by hand:
- Pour warm water (about 30 degrees) into a clean container.
- Dissolve about half a bluu wash strip in it by stirring.
- Put the tie in the water, it should float in it. Let them soak for 15 minutes.
- Then repeatedly squeeze the tie and the stain under running water, but do not wring!
- Then place the silk tie in a clear water bath again.
- Then hang them up and let them drain well.
