Dermatest is an independent dermatological institute that tests products that come into contact with the skin.
A team of allergists, dermatologists and biologists carefully tests these products for tolerability and effectiveness , ensuring they are safe for consumers.
After testing, the institute awards the Dermatest seal, which confirms that the product is skin-friendly and safe.
How does such a test work?
The institute carries out a patch test.
- The test product is applied in suitable concentrations to the skin of test subjects, usually on the back or upper arms.
- After 24, 48 and 72 hours, the skin is examined for redness or other abnormalities.
- If nothing of the sort can be found, the product has passed the test.
We are very proud that our washing strips have been awarded the Dermatest seal of "very good".
