The most important thing about blood stains:
Only use cold water and no warm or hot water!
Above 40 degrees, the protein contained in the blood coagulates and penetrates even deeper into the fabric fibres. Wash out the stain with cold water. If the stain doesn't go away, try instead:
- Wash out the stain with cold water.
If that doesn't help, try the following:
- Gently rub the stain with baking soda.
- Leave on overnight and rinse with cold water.
- Machine wash.
